Re: Differnt Mercadian Masques Tournament Packs?
I remember getting the ESPN2 version at the Masques prerelease. Since then I've seen both floating around.

Re: mirage starter deck
Mirage was partly made in US, partly in Belgium. There are some slight inking differences, I think one of them is a bit lighter on the back so you can distinguish the cards just by seeing the back if you know what you're looking for.

Re: Overprinted Royal Assassin/Demonic Hordes on E
Just me or would it be particularly easy to fake this kind of misprint? Any inaccuracies in home-made printing additions would be harder to spot since you have two cards smooshed together. "Hmm, I've got this beat up Demonic Hordes that's worth about 25 cents. I know, I'll run it through the printer...

Re: Kamigawa Tin Box Promotion
I think that's how bfk's guns-for-Magic-cards program will work too. "Here's my gun. Give me your Magic cards."I once traded a knife for a mox. Â He then threatened to stab me and took back his mox. Â [smiley=scared.gif]

Re: Labeling on Kamigawa Tournament Packs
My tournament pack has this. They put these identifying codes and the black-dot-grid patterns on Fifth Dawn boosters too. There are stickers on Fifth Dawn booster boxes too but I think they just have the letter codes, not the grid thing.

Re: Some Fake Onslaught Boosters & Cards
Let's see...
1) wrong art on packs
2) wrong background color on packs
3) wrong font on cards
4) Legions cards inside Onslaught packs
5) basic land inside Onslaught packs
6) wrong rare/uncommon/common ratios
7) wrong card size
Did they do anything right? ::)

Re: Very strange misprint....
There was a guy on the Wizards message boards who has a misprint like this too, on an Alpha Disintegrate. You can see the whole thread at http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.p ... did=293407 or just check out the picture here:

Re: "restoring" cards
I don't consider it tampering. You're removing gunk that shouldn't be there, not changing the actual card itself.

Re: how did you get introduced to mtg?
My brother started playing Magic soon after it came out. I saw him playing a few times but never bothered checking it out, except a couple times when he dragged me into a game... I remember one deck had Force of Nature and Wooden Sphere, and another time was a multiplayer game where he was strongly ...

Re: faded cards
One time I bought a pack of Fallen Empires and the topmost card in the pack looked sun-altered. I think the pack had been sitting facing outward in the store display for a long time, and the wrappers were a bit translucent back then, so if it sat there for years and years it could actually fade insi...
