I am the assistant director of admissions at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Students use mosaic software like this. They scan images (or find images online) and the software reasembles them. You can print it and make a poster (We have actually used them to make large stickers that have been place...

ok, I'm not quite understanding your answers, perhaps I am not being specific enough when I ask my questions... 1) Were they drawn up on a computer, (like this one http://powernine.com/Tile/SolRing.jpg) or were they actually physically constructed out of magic cards (like this one http://powernine.c...

There's a local Summer Exhibition (carnival) in Toronto called the CNE, there's a booth in their Arts Center that does these type of mosaics. I do recall seeing a Black Lotus done like this before. Out of Magic cards? I tried to do a Lotus, but because the contrast and color choices on many of the ...

not really a new idea.....all you really need is a Photo Mosiac software package and the time and effort to input and process that many different images. But still it looks nice =) Has anyone built them before? I searched around for a long time trying to find someone. The physical construction proc...

Hey guys. Been a while since I've been here, sorry about that. Anyway, we've developed a new way to make art out of Magic cards that I think is pretty cool. I'm auctioning the first two of them this week, and just thought I'd advertise it here. The pictures really don't do them justice. Check it out...

Thanks for the quick reply. I briefly searched for it, couldn't find it.

Hmmm. I guess I was confused by the "tongue-in-cheek" comment. I assumed the author was saying ccghouse had cut the Mishra's Factory, or was selling one they knew had been post-wotc cut.

Re: CCGHouse posts a great deal on Alpha-Cut Mishra's Factor

http://cgi.ebay.com/MTG-Misprint-Mishras-Factory-Alpha-Cut-4th-VF_W0QQitemZ290216432957 Only $100? Why so low, guys? Surely pricing it higher than an AQ set of all 4 seasons is perfectly sensible, right? Based on my recent experience, I would not be as tongue in cheek as others on this thread have ...

It goes both ways if there are 1 or 2(or 4) they could be faked for playing with and same goes for a mass amount spread among a few decks. On the other hand it could just be the specific sheet but since each different picture land is on the same sheet that doesnt be the case. I have alpha cut 4th c...

How many of these do you have? I can trade you some carrots if you'd like instead. Why would you want ones you believe someone cut? If there's just 1 or 2, then I'm still suspicious. If there's several dozen different lands then I'm less suspicious, but if there are several dozen and they are all t...

However unqualified statements of "I think they're fake." are the exact opposite of what I was looking for, and the opposite of the view you are espousing. To continue my previous declarative statement, I think you're a "bunny rabbit," because you seem to hop away from the slightest thing that scar...

If you pile them up, the cut is exactly the same, like it was industrial ? Yes, the cut is *exactly* the same. Aside from the higher quality backing, they are exactly the same as most of the Alpha cards I have too. I've seen people trim cards before (CE/IE, etc) to make them look Alpha, and you can...

I think somebody cut it. I think you're a bunny rabbit. What reasoning is your statement based on? I can't think of any reason why a card/sheet printed in 2002 would accidentally get cut using template that hasn't been used since 1993 (or 95 in the case of 4th edition), unless there's something dee...
