From Wizards.com: Dominaria United is the beginning of Magic: The Gathering's 30th Anniversary Celebration, and it's not just what you can find inside Dominaria United. Prerelease events are designed as the fun, first ways to play with new Magic sets at your local game store, and the next eight upcoming Prerelease event weekends add something special to the mix. These are the first three of the 30 promo cards available at Prerelease events, celebrating each of Magic's 30 years. Each promo card is a reprint, chosen from and releasing in chronological order by the year it was first printed. Some promos will be rarer than others, and while many of these promo cards will be in English only, seven will only be available in another language where Magic is available—the first being Fyndhorn Elves available only in German as shown above! You'll need to visit and register for Prerelease events at your local game store, beginning with Dominaria United September 2–8, to learn how you can pick up these incredible promo cards. MAGIC 30TH ANNIVERSARY JAPANESE PROMOS To celebrate Magic 30th Anniversary and the release of Dominaria United, Japanese game stores get some special promos. There will be a total of 15 Promo cards for this promotional campaign and they will be available in non-foil with normal frame, foil with normal frame, and foil with retro frame (Limited to 5000). Japanese stores will also have giveaways and chances to win special framed art with artist signatures. If one of the Promo cards is enclosed in a bag, and in addition to the Promo card, a "win" voucher is inserted. Only 30 Limited pieces each (total 150 pieces) are produced. The exchange program to get the canvas is from 00:00 on September 9, 2022 to 18:00 on December 31, 2022. A series of Magic: The Gathering 30th Anniversary promotional cards, exclusive to the Asia-Pacific region, have recently been discovered to have English-versions. Part of Magic’s 30th Anniversary promotion, the set includes five cards – Serra Angel, Lord of Atlantis, Sengir Vampire, Shivan Dragon, and Llanowar Elves – and come in both normal and retro-frame variants. So far, these promos have only been found in Thailand and Singapore. Based on the number of stores eligible for the promotion and how many copies they could receive, only around one-thousand copies of each card are in circulation, making them exceedingly rare.
