Unglued II: The Obligatory Sequel was a silver-bordered parody set that was scheduled to come out in Summer 1999, but it got put on hiatus, never to return. It was supposed to be a set of ? cards with a ? symbol.
Unglued II played around a lot with parodying famous old cards of the past.
Some art of Unglued II was used for Unhinged (approximately 20%, so 28 cards), Unhinged Arena League promos and 13 individual card designs (even some art) made their way into tournament-legal sets: Invasion, Odyssey, Onslaught, Mirrodin.

Over a hundred cards were designed for Unglued II.

Q: "Why are there so many carrots in the Unhinged art?"

A: From Mark Rosewater, Magic Head Designer:

"One of the gimmicks in Unglued II was an animated vegetable theme. No really. Check it out. Because of that, we asked all the artists to have fun and hide a vegetable in their art.
Unglued II never ended up being printed as a set, but about twenty percent of Unglued II art got used in Unhinged.
That is why there are so many hidden vegetables. As to why so many of the artists chose to draw carrots? We may never know."

How much of the original Unglued II was used in Unhinged?

Mark Rosewater: We salvaged the best art and mechanics, but Unhinged is around eighty percent new art and ninety percent new mechanics.

Mark Rosewater: The most interesting thing about Artificial Evolution is that I had been trying for years to get this card into Magic. Foiled at ever attempt, I finally gave up and put into Unglued II.
When that set was put on hiatus, I wasn’t sure the card would ever see print. But then along comes Onslaught and all of a sudden, a creature type hack seemed a little less crazy.
For those keeping count, this is the thirteenth Unglued II card to make its way to tournament Magic. (The previous twelve: the five Assault/Battery, the five Ruham Djinn from Invasion, Barrin's Unmaking, and Atogatog.)

The Djinn cycle (Ruham Djinn, Zunam Djinn, Goham Djinn, Halam Djinn and Sulam Djinn) from Invasion came from Unglued II.

Unglued was only printed in English but for Unglued II the plan was to print in English and Japanese. Another idea was that Unglued II would have a poster that said something like, "Not every vegetable is good for you".
Another idea was to include bubble gum in Unglued II booster pack.

Mark Rosewater: We looked into having gum in Unglued II (that Un-set that never happened) and it turns out the government thinks it’s food and it adds a whole bunch of new regulations that would have greatly complicated making it.

Set symbol: No symbol was created but it will have been a vegetable of some kind.

CANCELLATION OF UNGLUED II

Mark Rosewater: Unglued was overprinted and created a glut in the market at the time which led the Magic brand team to put the sequel (planned for the next year) on a “permanent hiatus”.

The art had come in and we were just about to begin laying out the cards when I was called to an event I will just refer to as “The Meeting.”
When you enter a meeting and the person who called it won’t make eye contact with you, you know bad things are about to happen.
Anyway, the result of “The Meeting” was that Unglued II was put on hiatus. I’m often asked (usually by Unglued fans), “What does ‘on hiatus’ actually mean?” I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but there isn’t one to give.
The best answer I can give you is the one my Magic 8 Ball gave me when I asked it the same question. “Reply hazy. Ask again later.”
Will Unglued II ever see the light of day? I’m an eternal optimist, so I believe yes. When? Please refer back to my 8 Ball.

MECHANICS AND THEMES

Animated Vegetable

Mark Rosewater: One of the gimmicks in Unglued II was an animated vegetable theme.
We may never know.
The poison-veggie theme was not carried explicitly into Unhinged, but you may detect a vegetable here and there in the art of certain Unhinged cards -- which indicates art that was carried over from Unglued II.

Die Rolling

Mark Rosewater: Unglued had a die-rolling theme and Unglued II was following in its footsteps. You will see as we go through these cards some themes. One of them is die rolling.
Unglued had a die-rolling theme and Unglued II was following in its footsteps.
Unhinged chose to not use die-rolling as it had polled poorly in Unglued, so none of these die-rolling cards ported over.
I don't remember why Unglued II chose to use die-rolling while Unhinged did not, as both sets had access to the same data.
Interestingly, I think the lack of use of six-sided dice in Unhinged was a mistake. I believe now that the problem with dice in Unglued was execution, not the use of the dice themselves.
I think die rolling can be very fun if used properly.

This card (Aerobics Instructor) is part of a five-card creature cycle. Each card had you roll a six-sided die and get a benefit based on the roll, but if you rolled a six, the card was sacrificed.

Flip Card

Mark Rosewater: This card (Heads Up/Tailspin) is a little confusing so let me explain how it worked. The card was laid out on its side with each illustration facing a different direction.
This meant if you faced the card one way you got Heads Up and if you faced it the other way you got Tailspin.
Yes, I made the first flip card years before Champions of Kamigawa. (I believe this was another time where I said, "Well, I did this thing in Unglued II.")

The idea of the card was that you flipped a coin each turn and if it was heads, the card became Heads Up and if it was tails, the card became Tailspin. Heads Up was good to have and Tailspin was bad.
Also, with years of experience, I wish I had made Heads Up great and Tailspin okay so that either way you got a bonus but one was a bigger bonus.
This would still make you want to have heads but would make you feel less bad when you got tails. I also believe it would make you play the card more.

Mini-Game

Mark Rosewater: Another small theme woven through Un-sets is the inclusions of mini-games. The idea of a mini-game is that a card forces you to play a little game in order to be able to use it.

Poison

Mark Rosewater: Another major theme of Unglued II was poison. I also wanted the set to have a theme, much like Unglued had a chicken theme, but something that was a little more substantial.
I chose animated vegetables, which I picked to be the poison creatures.
Another thing I did with the vegetable theme was to ask every artist to hide a vegetable in his or her art.
Note that some of the art from Unglued II was used in Unhinged, so there are also some hidden vegetables in the art of Unhinged.

Scratch-off Card

Mark Rosewater: Unglued II was going to have scratch-off cards. Each scratch-off card has three different scratch-off lines so that it could be used three times.
Each scratch-off card had ten different version so that players wouldn't know which version they had.
We also designed the cards such that scratching off any one line wouldn't allow you to necessarily know which version of the ten you have.
Obviously, once you scratch off two lines, there was no way to prevent players who had memorized all versions from knowing the third.
Unglued II was definitely pushing the boundaries in a number of different ways.
The plan was for us to run a test sheet to make sure the scratch-off technology would work well with Magic cards but the product got put on hiatus before that test was run.
The idea was that we'd have a sheet of scratch-off cards so you'd get one in every booster pack. Each card would have three scratch off lines on it and each time you cast it you would scratch one line off.

The theme of these cards was we had the art look like scratch off lottery tickets. There were two in each color.

Split Card

Mark Rosewater: Born from a concept for "Unglued II," split cards barely ended up seeing print.

Not surprisingly, B.F.M. proved to be one of the most popular card(s) from Unglued. So when I was designing Unglued II: The Obligatory Sequel, I looked to B.F.M. for inspiration.
If the players liked one card that took up two cards, perhaps they would like two cards that took up one card.
After playing around with the idea, I realized that the mini-cards looked best if the whole card was turned sideways, which allowed two smaller cards of the right proportions to be created.
I ended up designing a cycle of split cards (5 cards, each allied color combination).

Mark Rosewater: But I was able to produce good enough names for each of the five cards that I convinced the naming team to make the change. Three of my names stuck. Two changed. This is one of them by the way.
The original name for this card was Hit & Run. (The naming people felt Assault and Battery fit the mechanics better.)

Voting Card

Another theme of the set—voting cards. There was a cycle of voting cards, providing every player one vote and then spelling out how people could get additional votes. This idea was later used in Conspiracy.

LIST OF THE CARDS FOR UNGLUED II: THE OBLIGATORY SEQUEL BY KNOWN COLORS: 108/124

WHITE: 13 CARDS

Aerobics Instructor (Creature - Teacher) Uncommon card illustrated by Claymore J. Flapdoodle (Phil Foglio): Die-rolling theme card.
Part of a five-card creature cycle that had you roll a six-sided die and get a benefit based on the roll, but if you rolled a six, the card was sacrificed.

Circle of Protection: Art (Enchantment) Common card illustrated by Mark Tedin: Art was reused as an Arena Unhinged Promo card. Need Card type and Text

Cotton Djinn (Creature - Djinn) Uncommon card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Part of a cycle of five Punny Djinns. The name is a play on Cotton Gin (a machine that quickly and easily separates cotton fibers from their seeds).
The color-counting djinn: Ruham Djinn from Invasion is based on this one designed for the never-printed Unglued II.

Emcee (Card Type - Loud Guy ?) Uncommon White Card (Creature — Human Rogue) from Unhinged illustrated by Quinton Hoover. Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

Enquiring minds want to know (Legendary Enchantment) Rare card illustrated by Kev Walker: Need Text.

Inner Child (Creature - Spirit) Common card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Voting theme card. A card that forced players to share new information with each other.

Keeper of Ipecac (Creature - Cleric) Common card illustrated by Kaja Foglio: Able to prevent the placement of poison counters, referencing a vomiting inducing drug.

Latin Pig (? - ?) (Creature - ?) Common card illustrated by Kev Walker: Art was reused as an Uncommon Unhinged card: Atinlay Igpay. Need Info, Card Type and Text.
Mark Rosewater: This card is a hold-over from Unglued II. The card came about because my wife Lora is a big fan of pigs. Whenever I travel on business I always try to pig up a pig figurine for her.
And thanks to Magic she has pigs from six of the seven continents of the world (I'm still waiting for that Grand Prix in Antarctica).
Anyway, when Unglued came out, she was a little upset that the set was overrun with farm animals (you know cows and chickens and what not) yet had no pig.
I promised to fix that problem in Unglued II. So, I starting thinking about a funny name for a pig. That's how I stumbled onto Latin Pig. I liked the idea of a card that forced you to speak a silly “foreign” language.
Plus I knew a pig in a toga had comedy written all over it.
The major thing that got the card moved from Unglued II to Unhinged was the art. Kev Walker had nailed the pig in a toga and everyone wanted to keep the art. And what else is a pig in a toga going to be called?

Note that the Unglued II version was smaller and uncommon.
The Unhinged design team (Randy Buehler, Brady Dommermuth, Brandon Bozzi, and myself) decided that speaking Pig Latin was annoying and hard enough that it should be a rarer occurrence (thus moved to uncommon) with a bigger payoff
(thus moved from 2/2 first strike to 3/3 double strike).

Medicare (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Randy Elliott: Need text.

Que Serra Serra (Creature - Angel) Rare card illustrated by Douglas Shuler: Three different versions exist, a full-art card making fun of the decision to remove Serra Angel from the Core sets, one where she was weightlifting and one that that didn't get approved cause she was too mean on the illustration.
The name is probably a reference to the popular song "Que Sera, Sera" from the 60's.

Some Fat Pants (Enchant Creature) Common card illustrated by Claymore J. Flapdoodle (Phil Foglio): A 2/6 enhancement that forced the player to speak in the third person. Whenever they didn't, Some Fat Pants had to be sacrificed.

White Out (Instant) Common card illustrated by Douglas Shuler: This card was the response to the general public's outcry to remove the pentagram on Unholy Strength. Need Text.
Mark Rosewater: In fact, one of my favorite Unglued II cards was called White Out (which turned out to be a problem as there's already a card called Whiteout in Ice Age
– the set got put on hiatus before I solved the issue but I was thinking about calling it Correctional Fluid) and made fun of this very fact.
And, you know, the whole “lose the pentagram” thing.

White Sale (Enchantment) Rare card illustrated by Quinton Hoover: Die-rolling theme card. Changing the cost of cards by rolling dice.

BLUE: 13 CARDS

Botulism (Enchant Creature) Common card illustrated by Mark Brill: An aura giving the creature's controller poison counters unless a cost was paid.
The art showed a muscled sailor (a reference to Popeye the Sailor) killed by tainted spinach.

Fake I.D. (Instant): Rare card illustrated by Pete Venters. Color and Rarity to be reverified as it's supposed to be an Uncommon Card, so keeping it in both Color subsections for the moment.

Halitosis (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Referring to Halitosis also known as Bad breath, is a symptom in which a noticeably unpleasant odor is present on the breath. Need Text.

Hired Mussel (Creature - Clamfold ?) Common card illustrated by Randy Elliott: Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

Hydro Djinn (Creature - Djinn) Uncommon card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Part of a cycle of five Punny Djinns. The name is a play on the name Hydrogen or Hydroginella (a kind of sea snail parasites).
The color-counting djinn: Zanam Djinn from Invasion is based on this one designed for the never-printed Unglued II.

Jeopardy (Enchantment) Rare card illustrated by Claymore J. Flapdoodle (Phil Foglio): Mini-Game theme card. Forcing players to speak in the form of a question.
The art depicted Karn, Tahngarth and Squee participating in a game show. In Unglued II this was an enchantment.
When moved to Unhinged, it changed from an enchantment to a creature with a different illustration, text, artist and it became: Question Elemental (Creature — Elemental?).

Little Teapot (Instant) Rare card illustrated by Kev Walker: Mini-Game theme card. A spell forcing players to sing "I'm a Little Teapot".

Now I Know My ABC's (Card Type - ?) Rare card illustrated by Claymore J. Flapdoodle (Phil Foglio): The card's name was reused in Unhinged as a Rare Blue Enchantment illustrated by Tony Szczudlo. Need Info, Card Type and Text.
Mark Rosewater: The Cheese Stands Alone was a very popular Unglued card so I knew when I designed Unglued II that I needed another alternative win card.

Polly Wanna Crack Skulls (Card Type - ?) Common card illustrated by Claymore J. Flapdoodle (Phil Foglio): Parodying Polymorph from Mirage. Maybe a reference from the lyrics of the song Polly from Nirvana.
While the illustration or artist isn't the same it was used as a Blue Common card in Unhinged: Carnivorous Death-Parrot (Creature — Bird). Need Card Type and Text
Mark Rosewater: This is Carnivorous Death-Parrot in Unhinged. Note that the original version made your opponent say a particular sentence whenever it dealt damage to them.
This was changed to make you recite his flavor text because the rest of my team didn't like the original card as much as I did.
While I do like the cleverness of the forced flavor text speaking (it triggers five gotchas in the set), I was sad the original never saw the light of day.
Also the playtest name really made me laugh.

Tequila MockingBird (Creature - Bird ?) Uncommon card illustrated by Heather Hudson: Showing a Mockingbird in a bar. Need HQ Art, Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

There's No Folk Like Merfolk (Creature - Merfolk) Common card illustrated by Scott M. Fischer: Mini-Game theme card. The title of the card is playing on an old Hollywood expression, "There's no folk like show folk."

Time Walk on the Wild Side (Instant) Rare card illustrated by Mark Tedin: Parodying Alpha 's Time Walk.

Tolarian Plumber (Creature - Wizard ?) Common card illustrated by Douglas Shuler: Parodying Prodigal Sorcerer from Alpha. Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

BLACK: 13 CARDS

Bantam of the Opera (Creature - Chicken) Common card illustrated by Heather Hudson: Die-rolling theme card. Part of a five-card creature cycle. Reference to the movie Phantom of the Opera.

Cool Cucumber (Creature – Vegetable) Common card illustrated by Kaja Foglio: Anthropomorphic vegetable creature that gave poison counters. Need Text.

Endangered Species Act (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Randy Gallegos: Voting theme card.

Gangrene Pepper (Creature - Vegetable) Common card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Anthropomorphic vegetable creature that gave poison counters. A Zombified swampwalking vegetable with poison: 1.

Instant Karma (Instant) illustrated by Heather Hudson: Art was reused as an Arena Unhinged Promo card with the name: Booster Tutor. Rarity and Color need to be verified. Need Text.

Heather Hudson: Booster Tutor”, originally commissioned as “Instant Karma” for the (cancelled) set “Whacky 2” - 8.5” x 11” preliminary sketch in pencil on copy paper, c. 1998/99.
A relic of the days when I faxed preliminary sketches to the Art Director; many many notes. Back is blank.
Reference for this sketch came from an impromptu photo session at Wonderworld Books and Games (now RIP, alas) in Burien, Washington State USA.
During this period, Wizards contract specified that artists had to collect releases from models used in the art; one note here confirms that I had signed releases for the folks who posed for me.

Monkey See, Monkey Do (Creature - Ape ?) Common card illustrated by Mark Zug: Art (after been cleaned up: Cigar) was reused for the Unhinged card: Tainted Monkey (Creature — Monkey). Reverified Card Type and need Text.

Nekratator (Creature - Vegetable) Uncommon card illustrated by Claymore J. Flapdoodle (Phil Foglio): Anthropomorphic vegetable creature that gave poison counters. A poisonous potato impersonating Nekrataal from Visions. Need Text.

Phyrexian Librarian (Creature - Torturer) Rare card illustrated by Kev Walker: Naming card in play or being played, earned you a poison counter. Name and art were reused in Unhinged.

Rutabaga of the Night (Creature - Vegetable) Rare card illustrated by Heather Hudson: Anthropomorphic vegetable creatures that gave poison counters. Parodying Spirit of the Night from Mirage.

Skeletons in the Closet (Creature - Skeleton) Uncommon card illustrated by Randy Gallegos: Voting theme card. Able to manipulate votes.

Slow Djinn (Creature - Djinn) Uncommon card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Part of a cycle of five Punny Djinns. The name is a play on Sloe gin (a red liqueur).
The color-counting djinn: Goham Djinn from Invasion is based on this one designed for the never-printed Unglued II.

Timmy’s Revenge (Sorcery) Rare Black illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Need Text.
While the card name, illustration or artist were not kept in Unhinged, there's a real possibility that it inspired the Rare Multicolor card; Rare-B-Gone (Sorcery) illustrated by John Matson.
Edward P. Beard, Jr.: I got to portrait Timmy from my original Unglued "Timmy the Power gamer" card, the request was to slay out my good friend Melissa A Benson 's Shivan Dragon, Nightmare and Lord of Atlantis in the foreground and background..LOL.
It was in the description to choose some of the top iconic cards creatures.... Melissa and I go way back... and as fellow Sagitars- Love her to pieces....It was my honor to include her amazing characters even if Timmy had to slay them...LOL.

Zombie Peace Keeper Terrorist (Creature - Zombie ?) Common card illustrated by Daren Bader. The art was reused as an Common Black card in Unhinged: Bloodletter (Creature — Zombie). Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

RED: 15 CARDS

Atogatog (Summon – Atog Lord) Rare card illustrated by Ron Spears: The art was reused in Odyssey as a multicolor card.
Mark Rosewater: It was red because the original Atog (in Antiquities) was red. Its mana cost and power/toughness were exactly twice of Atog. The card was top down designed as an Atog lord. What would an Atog lord do I thought—why it would eat Atogs.
It cared about their power because it allowed the Atogs to fill up on whatever they ate and then transferred it over to the lord. The name was there when I first named the card because the prefix on Atogs always had to do with what it ate.
Being that the Odyssey version cost one more mana (and five colors at that) and the effect is temporary, one can assume the power level of my original version was a little above the curve.

During Odyssey design, we decided to put in multicolored Atogs as they allowed a lot of the zone swapping that the set was doing, and well, as an Atog-lover and design lead I saw opportunity.
I think it was Randy Buehler (who led the set's development) who asked about making a five-color Atog lord.
I said, "I've already designed it and it has art." Seeing that the previous year, Invasion, made use of Unglued II's split cards, the set on hiatus was proving to be valuable design fodder.
Atogatog was far from the last card printed designed for that set.

Bob from Accounting (Creature - Legendary Accountant) Rare card illustrated by Heather Hudson: Die-rolling theme card. Part of a five-card creature cycle. A character out of an old Magic commercial.

Chaos Kechu Dragon (Creature - Dragon ?) Rare card illustrated by Mark Brill: Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

Die Die Die (Enchantement) Rare card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr. Need Text.

Disorientation (Enchantment) Common card illustrated by Mike Raabe: Need Text.

Easy as Pyroclasm (Instant) Common card illustrated by Scott M. Fischer: The art was reused in Unhinged as an Uncommon: Deal Damage (Instant). Need Text.

Fake I.D. (Instant): (?) Uncommon card illustrated by Pete Venters. Color and Rarity to be reverified as it's supposed to be a Rare Blue Card, so keeping it in both Color subsections for the moment.

Pete Venters: Still, the biggest graveyard incident I can recall is when Unglued II was postponed after most of the art was already commissioned (no, I don’t remember why) and when it finally rose again as Unhinged,
a large percentage of the art in the set couldn’t find a new home in the radically re-jiggered card selection. I had three Unglued II cards suffer that fate.

Goblin Mime (Creature - Goblin Mime) Common card illustrated by Dan Frazier: Art was reused as an Arena Unhinged Promo card. Need Text.

Goblin Paratroopers (Creature - ?) Uncommon card illustrated by Dan Frazier: Need Card Type and Text.

Gun Control (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Dan Frazier: Need Text.

Heads Up / Tailspin (Enchantment) Uncommon card illustrated by Mike Raabe: A flip card ahead of its time, making use of a coin spin.

Rummy Djinn (Creature - Djinn) Uncommon card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Part of a cycle of five Punny Djinns. The name is a play on Gin Rummy (a two-player card game).
The color-counting djinn: Halam Djinn from Invasion is based on this one designed for the never-printed Unglued II.

Udder Madness (Enchantment) Rare card illustrated by Ron Spencer: Die-rolling theme card. Die-rolling at the end of each player's turn, decides the player taking the next turn.

What the…?! (Instant) Rare card illustrated by Randy Gallegos: Changing all numbers on cards by adding 3.

Yutch (Creature - Sometimes Giant ?) Common card illustrated by DiTerlizzi will become the Common Green card Supersize (Instant) in Unhinged.
TO BE REVERIFIED AS I BELIEVE THE COLOR AND RARITY ARE WRONG. Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

GREEN: 17 CARDS

"Ach! Hans, Run!" (Enchantment): Rare Multicolor Card from Unhinged illustrated by Quinton Hoover. This card is referencing the flavor text from Ice Age's Lhurgoyf. Need Text.

Affirmative Action (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Mike Raabe: Need Text.

B-I-N-G-O (Creature - Dog ?) Rare Green Card (Creature — Hound) from Unhinged illustrated by Ron Spencer. Reverified Card Type and need Text.
Mark Rosewater: This card has a physical component where you're putting counters on a grid and trying to get a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line, much like the game Bingo. We needed it on a creature so we chose to make it a Hound.
By doing this, we could call it B-I-N-G-O and make reference to a kids' song about a dog named Bingo whose name is spelled out in the song.
The flavor text references the first line of the song, but gets in a little jab about how I think it's dumb that we use Hound instead of Dog as the creature type.

Broccoli (Creature - Vegetable) Uncommon card illustrated by Mark Poole: Die-rolling theme card. This card is part of a five-card creature cycle. The only non-animated vegetable, referencing its iconic status as a vegetable that kids refuse to eat.

Celery Stalker (Creature - Vegetable) Common card illustrated by Randy Elliott: Anthropomorphic vegetable creature that gave poison counters. Need Text.

Curse of the Spinach People (Enchant Creature) Common card illustrated by Ron Spears. Need Text.

Dark Elf of the Stronghold Visions (Creature - ?) Common card illustrated by Scott M. Fischer: In the art we see an elf traveler. He is carrying luggage over his shoulder and strapped to parts of his body.
There are stickers showing the many places hes visited. The stickers should be of all the magic sets (this goes up to Tempest). See provided expansion symbols.
Scott M. Fischer used real stickers for this one. Need Info, Card Type and Text.

Granny's Payback (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Kaja Foglio: It was reused as an Arena Unhinged Promo card. Need Text.

Mad Beetdown (Creature - Vegetable) Common card illustrated by Mike Raabe: Anthropomorphic vegetable creatures that gave poison counters. Another tainted vegetable (Poison: 2).

Party Animal (Creature - Beast ?) Rare card illustrated by Melissa A. Benson. Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

Poodleboy (Creature - Legendary Dog Man) Rare card illustrated by Daniel Gelon: Coin flip theme card. Another card referencing an old Magic commercial.

Portal Elf (Creature - Elf) Uncommon card illustrated by rk post: Dictating the use of the simplified Portal-rules.

Santawar Elves (Creature - Elf) Common card illustrated by Anson Maddocks: Die-rolling theme card. This card is part of a five-card creature cycle. Giving a Llanowar elf a job as Christmas elf.

Sheep Cloning (Sorcery) Uncommon card illustrated by Ron Spencer: Die-rolling theme card. Creating sheep tokens by rolling a six-sided die.

Slim Djinn (Creature - Djinn) Uncommon card illustrated by Edward P. Beard, Jr.: Part of a cycle of five Punny Djinns. The name is a play on Slim Jim (the name of a jerky snack).
The color-counting djinn: Sulam Djinn from Invasion is based on this one designed for the never-printed Unglued II.

Swarm of Pickles (Creature - Vegetable) Common card illustrated by Ron Spencer: Anthropomorphic vegetable creature that gave poison counters. Need Text.

Uktabi Kong (Creature - Ape ?) Rare card illustrated by Una Fricker: Different Art was used as an Unhinged card of the same name and same rarity (Creature — Ape).
This card art is a parody of Uktabi Orangutan. Card Type to be reverified and need Text.

UNGLUED II BOOSTER BOX

Daniel Gelon: I was also lead graphic designer for Magic from Tempest to Odyssey, I did all the packaging and logos. Anyways before it was cut all the design work for Unglued II was finished.
I would do around 1/2 dozen half sized mock ups and we would choose one to move forward to. (1/2 sized because the entire die line would fit on a tabloid sized piece of paper.
This was the chosen design for Unglued II with dogs playing Magic by Mark Zug.
Check out the side pattern of vegetables. Mark Rosewater convinced everyone that vegetables were funny.
