National Championships was discontinued in 2012. It's replacing the World Magic Cup Qualifiers as the tournament deciding the national teams at the following World Magic Cup. The 2017 National Championships are the first National Championships events taking place since their reintroduction in 2017. They are scheduled across three weekends in September and October 2017 in 73 countries, and feature Standard and Booster Draft.
